Information about the Riceville Valley Business Directory Purpose
Our Directory project’s purpose is to help promote neighborhood entrepreneurship as well as support a sense of community here in the Valley.
Who can be listed?
If you reside in the Riceville Valley, are 18 years old or older and ... 
  1. you offer products or services in the Valley and/or elsewhere, and 
  2. you are a “registered businessperson” or even if you just think of yourself as more of an amateur or hobbyist, 
  3. and whether what you do is offered with or without charge we invite you to fill out a listing application form. 
We intend that listings in this “Business” Directory reflect the term “business” broadly in order to be inclusive. If you have knowledge, skills, abilities, hobbies, etc. that you offer or wish to offer, we cordially invite you to participate in this community project. If your situation doesn’t quite fit, see “What if I have a question?” below. 
NOTE 1: SRA reserves the right to decline any listing application deemed problematic, and we do not warrant the outcome of any listing.
NOTE 2: We have received some interest regarding possible listings for "young entrepreneurs" whose parents also live here in the Valley. Because of potential liability and other issues that might emerge if we accept such listings, we have decided to go slow and obtain appropriate advice for now. If "what makes sense" emerges in favor of offering listings for our youngsters, we'll advise everyone on our e-mailing list as well as here on our Web Site.

How do I apply?  
  1. E-mail George Rogers for a form (vedalite@bellsouth.net)  
  2. Pick up a form at Riceville Tailgate Market (when SRA is present)  
  3. Download form from the Listing Application Form page of the Business Directory menu.  

Is there a listing fee? From NOW until October 2009 … call it the first year … listing your business is FREE. Then in October 2009, we plan to begin charging $5.00 per year for listings.  

When can I apply? 
Any time. We are "open for business."  

What about changes?
