An area landowner had his heart set on living up on the
ridge top. After five plus years of road building, he
changed his mind. Generously, he offered to sell his
ridge top land for an approachable sum if it would be
allowed to return to its natural state. The combination
of the seller's generosity plus his neighbors'
willingness to strain their financial situation a bit
has enabled 11 acres of steep slope and ridge terrain
to be diverted from construction and helped to return
it back to its natural state. This particular piece of
land connects several hiking trails that lead up to the
Parkway and also surround and wander through the Bull
Creek Cove area. Thus these trails will also remain
available for the enjoyment of hikers. The agreements
about future land use are held in place by covenants
signed by both parties.
